Field trip

The following day, Carlos and I were thinking of what to do or where to go. Ate still had to work so we were left to fend for ourselves. I had been to Singapore a couple of times already so most of the tourists attractions had lost their appeal. We were still deciding where to go when I remembered that there was a Da Vinci exhibit at the Singapore Science Centre. I wanted to go.

Carlos and I then took the MRT from Buangkok to the bus interchange at Hougang. We could’ve taken the MRT all the way to our destination but Carlos wanted to ride the bus and take the scenic route. He said that the ride was going to take around one and a half hours and that I won’t be bored because I’d be seeing a lot of new things. He then said that it was my chance to see the west coast. Upon hearing the words “west coast”, thoughts of a tedious road trip from New York to San Francisco entered my mind. My brother-in-law made it sound as if we were making an epic cross-continental journey. I then remembered that we were on a tiny island.
